SMP or stubble tattoo

Scalp Micro Pigmentation, or SMP treatments are becoming increasingly popular.

There are many terms for this scalp and beard growth treatment such as stubble tattoo, hair tattoo, tricopigmentation, MHP, micro hair pigmentation and hair follicle simulation. However, the technique is the same. In case of hair loss, bald spots, retreating hairline or thin hair you can help your customers, men or women, by creating a "shaved", millimetre hair look or a "hair thickening" treatment. By pigmentating fine dots that look like stubbles. The technique resembles tattooing, but in reality (semi) permanent pigments are used instead of tattoo ink. As with all (semi) permanent make-up treatments, a touch-up will be required every 1.5 to 2 years because of slightly fading over time.

Offering MHP treatments can be a nice addition to tattoo studios, permanent makeup salons and barbershops. More and more of these locations choose to work together with specialists so that a total package is offered in one place to serve both men and women with different treatments.
